Local and Overseas
[Posted 09-Mar-2010]Marianne de Pierres asked me to go along for a signing at Borders Chermside on Easter Saturday, and I couldn't say no, so look out for us there on April 3rd at 11am. Wil Elliott will be joining us so it'll be a mini-SF fest in Chermside.
Supanova is from April 9th to 11th, and for the first time I'll be attending as an author. I'm only at the Brisbane one, at the Exhibition Ground, but Supanova is always a blast and I'm really looking forward to it.
The Dark Heavens trilogy has been released as a Kindle e-book available from Amazon .
The UK and US releases of Dark Heavens will happen soon, and the guys over at Angry Robot books have done a terrific job with the overseas covers.
Now back to my tax! It's due soon!
Angry Robot Dark Heavens
[Posted 01-Mar-2010]
The 'Dark Heavens' trilogy will be released by Angry Robot Books in the UK in April, and in the US in May through July. They've put the books up on their website, and the covers for the worldwide release are stunning!
I'm looking forward to being able to tell people 'Yes, you can buy my books in your country, enjoy', rather than apologizing for them not being available.
I'm taking a break from public appearances while I work on the edits for 'Hell to Heaven', but I'll be at Supanova from April 9-11 at the RNA Showgrounds in Brisbane. I will only be at the Brisbane Supanova, not Sydney or Melbourne. Hope to see you there!
They're Right
[Posted 12-Feb-2010]Authors can't help themselves. I was supposed to be taking a break after finishing 'Hell to Heaven' and I've already done most of the first chapter of 'Heaven to Wudang'.
Look for me at Supanova from April 9-11 at the RNA Showgrounds in Brisbane. I will only be at the Brisbane Supanova, not Sydney or Melbourne. I've always loved Supanova and being a guest will make it three times the fun.
DONE!
[Posted 02-Feb-2010]I finished "Hell to Heaven" yesterday - book five (or book two of "Journey to Wudang" for the purists) and gave it to Harper-Collins. I immediately thought of half a dozen changes that needed to be made - this is normal, and if they're still important I'll add them in the edits.
Thank you Rosemary, of Rosemary's Romance Books, for having me for the last signing before the next novel comes out! She's been a pillar of support since the books first came out, and a great friend. Go up and say hello to her - she still has signed copies of all my books on her shelves!
Now that 5 is done, I'm going to kick back a little and relax - and get new business cards done, new book plates to give away, do some house maintenance, ride my horse, find a new martial arts instructor (don't email me details of instructors, I already have a couple in mind) - wait a second, did I say relax?
On to book six - "Heaven to Wudang"!
I will be at Supanova Brisbane on April 9-11 as well, come along and say hello!
Another Interview
[Posted 20-Jan-2010]
Update: I just received a set of reprint copies of 'Earth to Hell' - the first print has already sold out, just over one month from its release. This new reprint doesn't have two copies of the little self-indulgent poem at the front. I'm thrilled to bits!
My interview with Stuart Beaton is here on his podcast, he's always lovely to talk to.
I spoke to Niki Bruce from Singapore's Straits Times newspaper the other day, and her blog of the interview is on her site here .
Last signing for a while coming up, 30th January at Rosemary's Romance Books. It's kind of fitting that my final signing for a while should be at one of the first places to invite me, Rosemary has always been generous in her support of local authors.
