Friend: Kylie, you suck. Why don't you update your blog more often?

Me: Because you don't want to read: 'Took child to school. Bought groceries. Edited book six.  Cooked dinner. Watched TV.'  My life is, to be honest, so bog-standard boring that a daily blog or twitter would cause a dimensional implosion from mass ennui.

Friend:  You're really that boring?

Me:  Damn straight.

So I stayed up until 3 am working on some relationship stuff in book six. I'm really liking where this is going!

At 9am I'm woken by the doorbell, then some banging, then more desperate banging on the door.  Then a break, then more banging on the door.  Someone yells 'Hello!'

So I crawled out of bed (the cat was not pleased) pulled some pants on and opened the door.

It's two big dudes in big weird hats.

Me: (Thinking) Great, religious nuts.  I must put the sign on the door to the effect of 'shift worker gtfo' or something.

Me: 'Hello?'

Dude1: (Sympathetic) 'Oh we woke her up.'

Dude2: (Apologetic) 'Hello little girl how are you doing this morning?  We have information here about loving and saving souls blah blah blah....'

Me: (Thinking) Measure the window and put the sign right there, I think... WAIT WHAT?

Me: 'Did you just call me a little girl?'

Dude1: (Quickly corrects Dude2) 'Ma'am.'

Dude2: 'Ma'am.  Blah blah saving souls, I have a cheesy cheap leaflet here, blah blah blah...'

Me: 'Yeah right whatever thank you.' <Shuts door>

All the dogs up and down the street went mad for the next half hour as they knocked on all the doors.  Sign. Yup.

Yawn.

Oh, I have photos of Trent's book launch to post, but Missy's stolen my camera. Again. Before I could download them.  As soon as I do I'll put them up.

The incredibly talented and wonderful Rowena (Cory Daniells) Linquist asked me to provide the ROR (Ripping Ozzie Reads) blog with a 'ramble', and I obliged, talking about how I've plotted - and managed to stay in control of - such a long series of books.

The cat still refuses to move off my keyboard.  Occasionally she falls asleep with her bum on the edge of the keyboard, loses her balance, slides off onto the floor, picks herself up and says 'I meant to do that' then stalks away.

STOP LOOKING AT RECTANGULAR SHINY THING AND LOOK AT ME!

My author copies of 'Hell to Heaven' arrived yesterday - it's always a thrilling moment to open the box and see the books inside.  It's never quite real until I'm actually holding the book in my hand - you'd think that with five of them out there now I'd be becoming blase about it, but I still get that 'Wow I'm a real published author!' thrill whenever the box arrives at my front door.
